A Pan-Orthodox Conference
October 6-7, 2017
St. Paul’s Greek Orthodox Church
Irvine, California

This conference will examine the theology, history, and purpose of the diaconate; both male and female. It will include four sessions: the present state of the diaconate; the ways men and women are engaged in diaconal service today; the opportunities to engage with both clergy and faithful on rejuvenation of the male and female diaconate; and the difficulties and benefits of ordaining women deacons — all for the building up of the body of Christ.

Listen to what Metropolitan KALLISTOS (Ware) says about the conference.
